Above reference pertains to the BARKADA (BARIKADA) KITA lecture during a seminar on Inputs on Security Awareness at Pilar College of Zamboanga City, which was organized by Ms. Faith T. Floreta, Disaster Risk Reduction In Charge who also invited resource persons from the Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office 9, Office of Civil Defense Regional Office 9, and Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, as the said school is coming up with a security plan for both natural and man-made crisis.
On 301330H July 2016, AKG MFU through its BARKADA (BARIKADA) KITA community crime prevention advocacy, shared some inputs on how individuals and organization can prevent and foil kidnapping. On the prevention aspects, PSUPT ARTHUR L VALDEZ, OIC MFU delivered a lecture using AKG presentation template on security awareness and action against kidnapping.
Aside from AKG presentation template, MFU BARKADA (BARIKADA) KITA advocates composed of MFU Communication Team, in partnership with Mr. Eugene Estipona and Mr. Dave Hamoy, Chairman and Vice Chairman of MFU Advisory Council and members of Public Safety Zamboanga, Incorporated, presented proactive and reactive barricades (Barikada) concept, that individual attendees may learn to to secure their homes, offices, and themselves against kidnapping.
Respective resource persons from the above-mentioned agencies also contributed inputs to Pilar College of Zamboanga City, which is in the process of crafting a campus security plan and emergency preparedness based on what it has obtained from the seminar.
The activity ended at 1730H.
Visayas Field Unit
1400HJune 11, 2016; AKG-VFU personnel composed of PSUPT RD LINGBAWAN, SPO1C Jagolino and PO2 J Balisang conducted lecture/seminar on “Community Security Awareness and Action Against Kidnapping-for-Ransom”; held at the Function Room of the Provincial Capital of Iloilo Province.
Said lecture was participated by a total of Eighty-Seven (87) participants composed of different government employees (LGUs from Iloilo Province and Iloilo City, Security Officers of businessmen and other private individuals from Iloilo City.
The activity ended at about 1700H the same date.

In connection with the above reference, please be informed that this Group supported and participated the Department of
Education (DEPED) “BRIGADA ESKWELA 2016” program by sending a total of thirteen (13) PNP AKG- Mindanao Field Unit personnel led by PINSP MIKE D DIAZ at the Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary School in Barangay Upper Calarian,
Zamboanga City on June 6, 2016, 7:30 AM.
The Brigada Eskwela is a nationwide program that aims to bring together teachers, parents, and community members to prepare schools for the start of classes in June.
AKG personnel, teachers and students of Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary School led by their School Principal Ms. Mona Rose R Martin clean up the classrooms and surrounding areas. The said activity ended at 3:00 PM of the same date.
