Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City- The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP AKG) has successfully arrested five (5) suspects in connection with a recent kidnapping incident in Paranaque City. The swift and coordinated efforts of PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group, General Trias City Police Station, and Cavite Provincial Intelligence Unit a hot pursuit operation was conducted on October 18, 2023, at about 1:00 AM and 8:00 AM respectively which resulted in the arrest of suspects.
The incident unfolded earlier this week when the kidnapped victims were about to enter their village, a white car suddenly blocked their way and four (4) male Filipino suspects onboard handcuffed and tied the victimβs mouth with packaging tape and were transferred to another vehicle after an hour.
The operation was rooted in the reported complaint of a concerned citizen after the victims managed to escape from their captors. PNP AKG immediately launched an intensive operation, utilizing all available resources to track down the perpetrators and ensure the arrest of the suspects. The Group was able to piece together critical information, ultimately leading them to the whereabouts of the suspects. A carefully planned operation was executed, resulting in the successful arrest of the individuals involved in the heinous crime.
Four (4) of the suspects were arrested at about 1:00 AM while the other one (1) was nabbed at around 8:00 AM. The PNP AKG acted promptly to provide the kidnapped victim a.k.a Jerome and a.k.a Jovan with immediate assistance on this matter. Meanwhile, PBGEN COSME A ABRENICA expressed his commendation to the operating troops for their immediate and coordinated response which resulted to the arrest of the perpetrators.

The arrested suspects are now temporarily detained at the PNP-AKG Detention Facility, for proper documentation prior to filing appropriate charges against them.
