Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City- In a swift action made by the Meycauayan City Police Station in coordination with the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group, three (3) Chinese national kidnap victims were rescued and two (2) suspects were arrested. The operation was conducted at about 4:00 PM on November 10, 2023, in Meycauayan, Bulacan. 

Based on the records, the kidnapping incident transpired on November 4, 2023, wherein two (2) Chinese Nationals, both employees of a POGO Company in Parañaque City were reportedly kidnapped and the ransom demand by the kidnappers was 10,000 USDT. Kidnappers also sent pictures and videos of the victims being blindfolded and handcuffed in order to convince the victim’s family to comply with their demand.  This case was reported to the PNP AKG and is being handled for investigation.

The two (2) Chinese National victims were rescued by Meycauayan CPS personnel after the other victim A.K.A. Mr. Bhon managed to escape when he jumped from a building rooftop, landed in an area of banana trees, and sustained injuries. Construction workers nearby helped him, and the security head of Metrogate Complex was able to contact the nearest Police Station. Meycauayan CPS, in coordination with PNP-AKG, conducted a rescue operation at the suspects’ hideout at Jemuel Street, Metrogate Complex, Barangay Pandayan, Meycauayan City, Bulacan. Subsequently, authorities arrested the two (2) kidnappers who were both identified as Chinese Nationals.

We will continue to double our efforts to apprehend the cohorts of these suspects, put an end to this inhumane practice, and bring justice to the victims and their family.”

Lastly, on November 12, 2023, a case of Kidnapping for Ransom was already filed against the arrested suspects at the Department of Justice and they were temporarily detained at PNP AKG Custodial Facility.
