Activation

The PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) was formally activated pursuant to NHQ-PNP GO No. DPL-11-01 dated January 19, 2012 as approved by NAPOLCOM Resolution No. 2012-027 approving the activation of the Philippine National Police anti-Kidnapping Group as a Regular National Support Unit effective January 19, 2012.

Structure and Staffing

In line with the approval of the NAPOLCOM on the upgrading of the rank of Director, PNP-AKG, amending NHQ-PNP General Orders No. DPL-11-01 dated January 19, 2011, reflecting the amendment to the rank of Police Director, PNP-AKG from Police Senior Superintendent (PSSUPT) to Police Chief Superintendent (PCSUPT) as provided under NAPOLCOM resolution No. 2017-624.Hence, the staffing pattern of the PNP-AKG shall be amended as reflected in “Annex B”.
